Are you ready for a system upgrade?

It's incredible to witness the transformation that can happen when we shift our mindset and upgrade our internal programming. As a counsellor, I specialise in guiding my clients through this process.

In my work, I often find that people live their lives based on the stories they tell themselves. These narratives are formed early in life and act as the foundational programming for how we navigate the world.

Think about it like this - when we're young, we're given a certain set of programming. It's like the software that runs a computer. As children, we absorb these beliefs and ideas, and they dictate how we approach life.

Now, here's where it gets interesting: while computer programs are constantly upgraded, refined, and optimised for peak performance, many of us carry the same programming into adulthood.

We're still operating on "Version 1.0" of our beliefs, perceptions, and behaviors.

My personal story:

When I lived in Germany I was desperate to keep away from anything Australian. I had a strong belief that Aussies abroad were loud, obnoxious and a little rude. My intermediate German skills also had me thinking that I would never find work.

Though lots of personal reflection I upgraded my own programming and finally I embraced what I had, which was being Australian and good English. It changed everything for me and led to a role at the Australian Embassy in Berlin.
